This curious piece, written by Marcel Dupré (1886–1971), transports the listener to oriental sonic realms. In Jean Lahor's poem, a temple dancer is doomed by a bee that slips between her breasts. With great passion and energy, Dupré portrays the ensuing battle between man and bee in musical form.

This version for women's choir and piano four hands was arranged by Tobias A. Frank.

This first edition includes a foreword and information about the work in German, English and French.
