A celebrated guest in England, Marcel Dupré frequently performed as a soloist in concerts with his friend, Sir Henry Wood. When Wood re-orchestrated Handel's Organ Concerto No. 9 (HWV 308) in 1932, Dupré composed an impressive cadenza, which was a particular highlight for the audience.
In addition to a preface in German, English and French, this first edition contains two options for inserting the cadenza: - in accordance with Henry Wood's version, - an alternative suggested by the editor that can be integrated into Handel's original version.
