Dupré's organ music is usually highly virtuosic, but this edition reveals a different side to the composer. The four pieces compiled here are aimed at organists beyond the concert stage. They are technically manageable yet tonally remain entirely within the sound world of the early 20th century. The volume comprises two original compositions, Marche religieuse and a Fugue in C major, as well as two organ arrangements of appealing pieces that Dupré wrote for examinations at the Conservatoire in Troyes.
