While working on the Dupré Digital documentary series, Tobias Frank made a surprising discovery: an unpublished Intermezzo in E minor for organ, found in the home of Dupré’s pupil, Michel Tissier. The piece was probably composed between 1935 and 1938. Like many of Dupré’s later works, which were never intended for publication, it evokes the spirit of an earlier time. Of particular note is its Louis Vierne-influenced style, which likely inspired Dupré to write the piece.
